Smoking in the guest rooms is not allowed and will
result in a $150 fee.
Kitchen is off-limits to Inn guests. Please keep any leftovers that
you'd like to keep cold in guest refrigerators on both levels of the
Inn.

The Beacon House is not responsible for loss of any money or valuables.
Pets are not allowed in the Inn.
Children under 12 yrs not allowed in the Inn.
(The Inn is more of an adult retreat and is really not very childproofed
so we do discourage children under 12.)
Cottages are fully furnished including linens, satellite
TV, Phone.
We also provide a startup kit of essentials;
you must purchase your own supplies
after you have used that.
Breakfast is not included with cottages.
Cribs, crib bedding and highchairs are available for rental.
Pet Policy
Pets: 3 nights or less up to 80lbs is $50 / 4 nights or more
up to 80 lbs is $100
3 nights or less 80-150 lbs is $100 / 4 nights or more 80-150lbs is
$150.
Flat fee, non-refundable. Max 3 pets, no exotics or vicious dog breeds.
Pets must be crated when you are not here.
Pets are not allowed in the Inn.

50% deposit is required at the time of reservation, single night stays
require 100% of the balance. Your deposit will be charged to your credit
card at the time of reservation.
A refund will be given if the cancellation occurs 28
days before the arrival date. If a cancellation occurs WITHIN 28 days
of the arrival date, the deposit will be forfeited UNLESS we are able
to book the room(s) for the nights that were canceled. Reservations
canceled with less than a 2-week notice will be charged 1 night in addition
to the deposit, except Holidays which require a 50% non-refundable deposit
and must be canceled 28 days prior or will be charged the full amount
of the reservation.
November -February
Reservations canceled with less than a 3-day notice will be charged
1 night, except Holidays which require a 50% non-refundable deposit
and must be canceled 28 days prior or will be charged the full amount
of the reservation.
Cottages:
April-September
Reservations require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Reservations canceled
with less than a 14 day notice will be charged 50% of the remaining
balance if the cottage is unable to be re-rented. No shows will also
be charged 50% of the remaining balance and the full balance during
a Holiday week.
October-March
Reservations canceled with less than a 14-day notice will be charged
50% of the total reservation, except Holidays which already require
a 50% non-refundable deposit. No shows will also be charged 50% of the
remaining balance and the full balance during a Holiday week.
HURRICANE Policy
We understand and respect the concern and apprehension
that may arise from an approaching hurricane. Foremost, we recommend
guests concerned about this possibility purchase vacation insurance.
If the weather service issues a hurricane advisory
or warning:
Guests residing at the inn may choose to evacuate.
In this case, we will charge only for those nights spent with us up
to the time of the evacuation.
For those guests with pending arrivals, we would retain the deposit
and credit it to a future stay.
If there is no hurricane advisory or warning (ie. there is not an imminent
threat): For a vacation to be canceled because a hurricane "might"
make landfall near Carolina Beach or that there "might" be
an aftermath, deposits will not be refunded and will not be credited
to a future stay (UNLESS we are able to book the room(s) for the nights
that were canceled).
If a hurricane has made landfall and The Beacon House
Inn (or the island) is not "fit" for guests: For guests with
pending reservations affected by such a situation, we would retain the
deposit and apply it to a future stay.
