How do you chase your rainy day blues away when you are at the beach on vacation? How about lunch out and a little shopping therapy? Wilmington has some unique stores and small boutiques that are sure to please! We thought we would share a few of our favorites.
For hip, fun clothing and accessories and looks that are created by local, indie designers we love Aqua Fedora and Lula Balou Boutique. You can get some bling at Filthy Rich Celebrity Jewelry where you can find pieces inspired by Hollywood celebs or glam it up at the Glam Boutique. Other great picks are Island Passage and Edge of Urge. These are just a few of our choices, but you can find a more complete list at the Wilmington Downtown website.
The historic Cotton Exchange and Chandler’s Wharf on the river front each offer a variety of shops, artist galleries, and dining. If you want to take home a piece of the past you may enjoy antiquing on Castle Street in the new art and antique district.
Wilmington has some really great shopping and these are but a few of our recommendations. Skip the mall and find something special that speaks to you and while you are at it you can shop small, shop local!
